Hi there.

If you don't know me already, I'm the 'Mr. White' of Well-Beings with Mr White (no, I don't take myself too seriously, and no, I honestly don't have ANY more sensible looking photos of myself! 🤦)

This is my site to share my thoughts about all things wellbeing. It's mostly blogs (a way to get all the buzzing ideas in my head into one place), but there's a cool section on photography I'm quite pleased with too. To me, photography covers all bases in helping us in our journey to be 'well-beings'.

But we're all different, you might not feel the same. I get that, that's OK.

And that's the point about this site. It's MY thoughts and ideas, and MY beliefs. I'm not representing anyone else's point of view here, and I'm not telling you my way is perfect for everyone. In fact, I guarantee you it's not!

I've got the odd letter or two after my name, and a few certificates knocking about somewhere for the mental health and wellbeing bits and bobs I've done. But that's not the point. Anyone of us can have done those things and taken completely different ideas and messages from them.

For me, wellbeing starts with knowing yourself. Taking a good hard look at who you are, for better or for worse, and asking some serious questions:

  • What makes you tick?
  • What parts of you are you proud of?
  • What parts aren't you proud of?
  • What are you like on your best day?
  • What are you like on your worst?
  • How would your friends, family, colleagues, people you don't get on with describe you?

It's only when you start looking at all this, when you start getting curious about who you are, that any of that other stuff starts to matter. That's when you can take a look at what people are saying 'wellbeing' is, and work out how to apply it to you.

So that's what this site, these blogs and ideas, are all about. Me shouting into the wind my rambling reflections on what helps me stay a 'well-being'. If it's useful to you in any way at all, fantastic, please use it any way that works. If you've got a different take to me, then get in touch, I love finding new ideas.

Where to start...

The first blog, where it all began.

This whole site started because I couldn't switch off during the holidays. I started to explain the principles behind The 4 Pillars of Wellbeing, in particular some of the less known explanations behind them.

Start here to understand where the idea for the hashtag photo challenges came from, and why I value photography so highly as a wellbeing tool.

Focus on Wellbeing explains it all, with a clever little play on words too! 😉
